Planning for success with civil site design
Welcome to this Springpod for Universities experience, in conjunction with the University of Liverpool. Why are you here? Well, taking the time to complete this experience will help you to understand, develop and apply your skills in a field that interests you most. Employers want to see job-ready candidates applying for their positions, and this is one way to prove that you are pro-active, dedicated, and super keen!
Over the course of the next 3-5 hours, you will learn about the Engineering Industry, and in particular; Architecture, discover vital information about the job role: Civil and Architechtural Engineer, and also take a deep dive into the hard skill: Civil Site Design. Once you’ve completed a multiple choice quiz testing your knowledge, you’ll undertake a real-life, hard-skill targeted and industry expert-validated job simulation, complete with model answer, learning objectives, and eventual outcomes.
Finish the entire experience and you’ll receive a certificate to mark your achievement - and what better way to show yourself off in front of prospective employers!

Daniel Connelly
Daniel Connelly is an Incorporated Civil Engineer with over 13 years industry experience. He graduated from the University of Liverpool with BEng (hons) Civil Engineering. Since then, he has worked in the nuclear, aviation and water sectors, across Australia, Poland, and all over the UK.
Daniel is predominantly experienced in civil design for water and wastewater treatment works and infrastructure pipelines, leading the civil design for major projects and coordinating a multidiscipline team to meet cost, quality and programme constraints. Daniel is also a reviewer for ICE for Experiential Learning Assessments and Delegated Engineer for Graduates.
